Okay…I need a laugh to end the work week. Tanya and I decided to go get a couple of slices for lunch. We work downtown, so the majority of parking consists of parallel action. I have many talents (varying degrees of expertise); cooking, photography, writing, entertaining. Parallel parking however, is not one of them. Somewhere near my 80th adjustment to get myself in the spot, Tanya compared me to Austin Powers. That was it…. I completely lost it and laughed so hard that no noise escaped. I just shook... It was utterly painful and hilarious. She actually had to get out of the car to direct my 81st attempt. Apparently, we could take this act on the road as we were providing much comic relief to the passersby.
Need a cake baked, I’m your girl. You need a picture taken, I am your girl. You need me to write you a research paper, I’m your girl. You need to plan a birthday party, I’m your girl.
You need me to parallel park, you might want to consider public transportation

Parallel parking is something which I actually excel at. I pride myself on my PP skills even if it is the only thing I am good at. I guess it stems from frequently leaving and returning to my urban high school where parking lots were unheard of.
i think that's the first time i've heard a real, hearty laugh out of michelle.
Wow,
Does my favorite cousin need parallel parking lessons? I was working and parking downtown when you were just a youngun.
Sounds like fun anyway!!!!!
Tina
You ought to see me back up a boat trailer at a launch....Not pretty...
Some car company is starting to include "automatic parallel parking" as an option for their vehicles. I soooo need that!
I actually bought the smallest car I could find (a Scion XB) to make parallel parking easier.
hahaha--I used to be the same way--until I moved to a place that ONLY had parallel parking. I would sometimes park 4 blocks from my apt, just to avoid a small spot :)
lol! the last time i ever parallel parked was during my driving test to get a license. i've managed to avoid doing it all those years in boston and nyc. can you believe it? i'd so totally be like austin powers, too!
Haha!! Love the video. I can watch that movie over and over. I'm so-so with the parking skills. BTW, I can't believe I didn't leave a comment on your pizza post. That looks and sounds so freakin' delicious. Could I do it without the Prosciutto?
Okay okay so I will hire Valet to park my car, now lets talk about that paper that you can write!!!!
I've gotten better at it of late, but it's one of the few driving maneuvers that will make me hesitate before attempting.
hilarious. i wish i was there. I would have been rolling watching the two of you.
May I have another helping of this glorious lamb dish? I have already eaten with my eyes!!!
