Progress?

I for one love progress. Its great to see progressive thought regarding sex, politics, religion...the list goes on. But progress has it downside. Case in point; I was watching the Style Network last night and this commercial came on.

Now given my more liberal views, I was kind of surprised that this commercial disturbed me. Apparently, masturbation is no longer a taboo subject AND apparently, women your mother’s age are getting busy AND TALKING ABOUT IT WITH PERFECT STRANGERS. Ewh.

I think I actually miss the days of I Love Lucy and those puritanical twin beds.

Nothing says happily married like matching twin beds...

There's something very odd about the older woman steering the other women in the direction of their masturbatory aides.

I've never seen that commercial. I can't believe that was on television! I'm no prude but I would have turned beet red if that came on and either of my parents were in the room.

Really, I am shocked!

Wow. Just wow.

This was on TV? Wow. That's the kind of thing that is usually reserved for the back page classified in Cosmo. Like Robin, I'd be really squirmy if my parents were to see that with me.

it would have been funnier or more sellable with the meg ryan scene from Harry Met Sally and then led into the "aid".

Allow me to add this to my list of reasons to never watch the Style Network.

Been a while since you posted. I'll just assume you're catching up with the I Love Lucy box sets.
